An entrepreneurial dynasty
An excellent management
A highly-competitive Group
Operative for more than a century in the steel and iron industry with Antonio Beltrame, founder in 1896 in Vicenza of the "Premiato Stabilimento Meccanico a forza elettrica con Fonderia”, and with his sons Angelo and Bruno, the continuous search for technical improvement and for top-quality products became the strong points of the Beltrame Group's work.
In 1920s Acciaierie and Ferrerie Vicentine was created in the Palladio's city.
From that moment onwards they saw a continuous growth.
In 1930s, new productive courses were accompanied by dimensional growth and by commercial re-organization meant to enter the Italian market.
With the opening of the international markets, in the 50s, the AFV Beltrame began producing commercial rolled bars, used in building, iron constructions for civil and industrial works, mechanical industry and shipbuilding.
In the second half of the 60s Giancarlo Beltrame, Angelo's son, took up the management of the company: he is still the chairman of the company.
AFV Beltrame aimed at becoming productive structures able to exploit the economies of scale allowed by technology, by strengthening at the same time the distribution and marketing network.
In the 70s, the reinforcement of the presence over all the Italian territory came with an active penetration in foreign markets thanks to the co-operation among the EU countries.
In 1976, production was moved to the new steel plant in Vicenza's industrial park.
The 80s saw the arrival of high technology, while the takeover of Marghera's and San Giorgio di Nogaro's steel plants made AFV Beltrame become a group.
A basic moment for the conquest of the European leadership in its production field was 1994 with the takeover of LME (Laminés Marchands Européens S.A) controlling block and its subsidiaries. That was the main competitor in Europe.
Moreover, in 2002 there was the takeover of the Siderurgica Ferrero, the strongest competitor in Italy.
Beltrame Group - represented today by Monica, Patrizia and Antonio Beltrame - after placing itself in the historic, geographical and productive heart of the steel and iron European industry, carried out important technological co-operation synthesizing corporate, technological and marketing assets of different European realities.
